Some fancy for your fancy

As you can imagine, as a no longer pregger with a pregger blog, I do sincerely spend a great deal of time searching for products that I wish I'd had. Dreaming of the fantasy shower, when mine was the run of the mill. (Love you Gram!) Imagining my big tough girl was tiny and fragile, a helpless little soul with no opinions other than, "My mommy is my one true love." I imagine the day we took her to good 'ole JC Penney's at 4 days old for her photo shoot, (yeah, that didn't work out...) and in my dreams, she is wearing this...

(Click me!)

But of course, another Etsy find, this yellow crochet lace wrap was made by Petunia and Ivy, and you will soon find that she creates the most delicate baby photo props. Down with Carters beanies. (Sorry Carters, they are cute but USUAL. I am NOT usual!) If I could go back in time, and freeze my babies, (well wouldn't we all do that???) I would have a keepsake image like this!

Do an actual FAVOR for your favors!

As I said, Thank you Gram, for my baby shower (9 year ago!?! ;-0) As the Italian matriarch, our favors were indeed the oh so traditional Pastel Almonds in what else? Those little toile drawstring baggies conveniently available for purchase at Dollar General. Ho hum. I would like for one second to open you up to the possibility, that an event favor, could be of ANY use to the recipient?!

Created by Symbolic Imports, and available in 23 mouthwatering scents, these handmade soaps will not only make an impression on your guests, and show them that you are indeed a Cute-E-Pie, but leave them sniff-sniff-sniffing their way through brunch!

Peppermint Tea Tree
Patchouli Vanilla
Pear Pomegranate
Coconut
Unscented
Brown Sugar Fig
Sandalwood Vanilla
Lemongrass
Clean Cotton
Honey Almond
Creme Brulee
and more!
So here's to you, all non-traditional with your bad self, All show offy with your bad self, ROCK ON Cute-E-Pie, and never settle for ho hum. Years from now you may just think twice!

If I had let my mom plan my baby shower, it would have been colored mints and peanuts in lil' cups lol I made sure my friends were in charge ;)

Love this blog! I am throwing a shower for my sister this weekend! She is having a boy and it is whale themed.... any ideas? There are NO whale themed decorations!!! I went to the craft store and bought a whale stamp to make a few things of my own. I am also making a diaper cake.
Also, I often dream of what I wish I did for my baby's newborn pics too. Too late, maybe next time.
Also, thanks for making me feel better with the comment you left on my blog about the 70 pound weight gain I had. I was small too, 125 pounds. I think us littler ladies gain more because the babies need more room to grow. :)

Following back from the Tuesday hop. Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment.

If you haven't yet, you should check out my 100 Follower Giveaway! Ends 7/27.
