Kiddie Academy- Buiding a dream

Kiddie Academy offers the opportunity to own your own business, while doing what you love.

What’s great about this opportunity?
Moms know that childcare is an in-demand, steady growth industry. They might not realize that the education-based childcare sector is growing even faster. With the support of a strong franchisor, education-based childcare is a great opportunity for positive short- and long-term results for franchisees.

Take this case study of Angie and Rafael, for example.

Kiddie Academy- The light bulb is on

Isn't it a beautiful picture? Something about the openness, and honest joy of a pre-schooler learning. The day the light bulb clicks that letters make sounds. Watching them feel pride in their work, and witnessing the amazing revolution that IS ages 3-5.

If you are a mom, you know these joys. If you are a teacher you live them each day. Kiddie Academy offers the opportunity for the best of both worlds!

But what if you are missing someone this holiday....

"If you think you're too small to have an impact, try going to bed with a mosquito in the room."
~~Anita Roddick

The holidays can be such a source of joy, but also a source of stress and strong emotions. This will be our families first Christmas without Gramma. (My husbands Grandmother passed in October) Thanksgiving was hard, Christmas will be harder.

Last year she gave all of the children "The Night Before Christmas" Book, recorded with her voice. That is also difficult, but all of these strong emotions that I have, and must hide away for the children's sakes, lead me to a positivity and I hope it may help you as well. (Don't we all have something??)

No matter where or how you leave an impression on the world; no matter how insignificant of a person you think you are; when the mundane day to day repetition gets to you; when you feel like there are no more dreams.....

DREAM BIGGER
You are only building up to the impressions you will make on your grandchildren
LOVE HARDER
The memories we have of those we've lost are not of things. We miss the feeling of their hugs.
MAKE more MEMORIES
The memories you make NOW of tradition, and love and joy, WILL hang on through generations. A Nintendo DSi XL 3D will not.

Missing you Gram :) But you've taught me how to LOVE right. That is an impact that I can only HOPE to have on someone. Thank you!

What are your traditions?

There are so many familiarities with the holiday season; those sweet small things that make it FEEL like Christmas. We have sooooo many traditions in our family, yet rarely do any of them get caught in a photo. Here are some of my favorite images around the web, that give me the sentimental feeling that wells my eyes up ever more increasingly as the time comes closer.

Turns out I am a closet....{Pictorial}

I recently designed a "Leather and Lace" blog theme, and I got a little surprise during the process... I am a closet rocker.... I am a typical mom I think, I listen to a mix of "when I was in high school" music, soft stations, and a little of the popular music as well. My kids mostly hate what I choose, and most especially when I sing like I am on center stage (Yep I totally envision American Idol in my head LOL) at the top of my lungs.

After creating the design, I thought it would look pretty with some classic rock images, some black and white, hardcore kind of things... And that is when I was hooked! I feel remeniscent of days that were never mine, and a rush of empowerment and purpose JUST from looking at these images.

Holiday Cards-100% benefit St Jude Children's research hospital

Each year, since she was 6 years old, my daughter Giovanna has dedicated her December to giving. I am honestly not sure where this came from, but it has turned into a campaign beyond our wildest imaginations!

In coordination with her elementary school, we work with the art classes to turn their art projects into prints and greeting cards. The kids get a HUGE kick out of what can be done with Photoshop to enhance pencil drawings, and more so excited when they see their work UNALTERED and on the computer screen for sale!

Last year was quite a year for her, and her shy little heart had a very hard time with this interview! (Okay, so did my shy little heart, and Daddy about burst into tears :)

This year we are dedicating ourselves to St Jude Children's Research Hospital.

No child is turned away because their families cannot pay.

Every purchase is accompanied with a thank you note speaking for the children of St Jude's, from Giovanna.
100% of proceeds are donated.
You can view the charity art sale HERE!

Won't you come and see what she has made this year?

And please, bloggers and readers alike- NOW is the time to use the power of social media. NOW is the time to SHARE this post. NOW is the time to use our influence. LIVES can be saved.

SHARE, STUMBLE, LIKE, TWEET

May the season warm your soul!

Today's Inspiration

Don't worry kid, you'll get the hang of it!

If I have seen further than others, it is by standing upon the shoulders of giants. ~Isaac Newton
