Smiley Cookies- Home-made is nice, but...

Lets be reasonable. Baking holiday cookies with the kids is NOT the pretty picture we see on commercials. (I especially get a kick out of the Rice Crispies Treats commercials...) My children are never satisfied with their roles in this process, and despite my very best efforts, with three "under 8 y/o" helpers, the decoration never turns out to my satisfaction.

At first, I tried to have the perfect cookie. Now I've decided that it is better for them to have fun, while we eat ugly cookies. This is fine and well, BUT we can NOT bring these cookies to a school party. We can NOT bring them to a family party, (O-M-G- Mom that would be soooooo embarrassing!)

I was lucky enough to receive a package of Smiley Cookies for review, and this really is the solution! This year, we will make Santa's cookies, and our own "eatin" cookies, but Christmas tree cookies will go to the party :)

As your addition to the party at Gramma's, or at school, or as a special Christmas cookie gift, these treats are so cute! Simple, neat and tidy shapes and decor, and the kids loved them! It was actually a shame to eat the cookies at all...they came packaged so beautifully! If you never thought of a holiday cookie gift, think again!

After looking through the website, I found a great idea for a children's birthday party!!!

Well if you know me at ALL, you know I like fun themes. HOW CUTE would this smiley face be for your child's birthday party, and wouldn't she feel SOOO special to "design" them herself??

Do I see polka dots?
Rainbows?
This theme could be fun...

LOL! Awe.. you can bring them to family.. anyone who has had kids totally understands! Maybe try making some cookies that there is no way they can be messed up by young artistic minds but ones that kids love to devour like nobake chocolate oatmeal cookies! Easy.. and no fail! LOL!
